Sunrise Yoga (Classical Asanas)
Classical Asanas allows us to experience ancient, Northern-India derived yogic postures - delivered essentially unchanged in a sublime meditative practice that encourages introspection and connection. By allowing the breath to guide us in and out of postures, employing repetitions and focusing inwardly on specific chakras, the mind becomes one with the body and a deep dynamic focus can emerge. Participants will emerge from their practice with a vibrant and calm energy which will affect their entire day.
Along with exploring asanas (postures), this class will also contain yogic self-massage, a practice with countless benefits ranging from decreasing wrinkles to restoring the body's prana (subtle energy). A gentle introduction to sadhana (meditation) will be presented at the end of each class to explore the calmness of mind we have worked to create. Immerse yourself into a truly traditional practice as so many yogis have done for thousands of years, and experience yoga as it was meant to be!
