Belly Beat
Bellydance

A healing art form in many ways. The fluid movements balance meridians and strengthen organs throughout the body. Many figures engage certain body parts, such as a figure of eight, which is thought of as a self-body massage for it triggers the kidneys, liver, and small intestines. Not only do they use the obvious connected body parts when doing a figure of eight you are linking the right and left hemispheres of the brain, stimulating your body to learn, concentrate and balance.

Bellywood
This choreography class combines elements of Bollywood and Bellydance.
Bollywood

A fusion of classical Indian, folklore, Arabic, Latino, Bhangra, and the collaboration of street styles. This class offers a mixture of technique, energy and emotion but most of all immense fun to this easy to learn dance. Mainly focusing on poses, grace, hand movements, and expression which are all integral parts of Bollywood dancing. During the course you will learn some energetic Bhangra moves and choreographed routines but mostly it is one hour a week of cardio exercise.
Burlesque

Feel feminine, sensual, sexy, and empowered while getting a great workout. You will learn small dance routines using props, chair, boas and canes. Women of all ages (over 18) shapes and sizes welcome. No dance experience necessary.

Kids Bellydance
Kids learn age appropriate bellydance movements with an emphasis on femininity, grace and positive body image. Advance registration required.
Ages 6 - 11
Kids World Beat
Travel around the world from American to Africa, Latin America to the Europe, India to the Middle East. Children will learn basic movements from each of these countries as well as learn where they are on the map and information of each culture.
Latin

A beautiful sensual dance with several styles and within each style there are a number of variations. From one region to another, a basic salsa step can transform into a complicated step. In this course we will learn some of the most popular social dance forms of the Cuban, Columbian and Brazilian styles.

Stretch & Strengthen
Awakening the body with slow stretches gently works joints and muscles through rhythmic undulating exercises.

Stretch Fusion
A combination of yoga, pilates, tai chi, ballet, and modern stretches to relieve body arches and pains and to help us age gracefully.

West African

Full of bold, loud, big movements. These energetic filled moves are a perfect way to get fit. The music is full of drums that make you want to get up and dance. This style of dance is very loose and freeing. Even though African dance is very complex Ammena has made this course clear, and easy to follow as well for all levels of dance experience. In the course of 10 weeks you will learn five traditional dances but in combination form instead of full dances. This way you will have a taste of each dance style and rhythm.
World Beat
This up beat fast paced class (is similar to a ZUMBA class) with fun beats and easy moves. This is a great cardio class, matched with the right diet you will lose the pounds fast.
